RAINBOW BRIDGE

I lost a friend today.  Muffin, the sheltie, went to the Rainbow Bridge.  She was 14 1/2 years old, which is quite old in doggy years.  Muffin wasn't real happy when we cardigans started taking over the household.  She remained quite reserved and off by herself most of the time.  But for some reason, she liked me.  Even though she didn't play much, even with her sheltie buddies, she would play with me.  We would chase each other around and do the doggie play dance.  The past few years she has stayed on the lower level of the house because the stairs were becoming difficult for her, so we didn't get to play as much.

It is sad to lose friends, but I know she is with her other shelties buddies, Reba, Missy, and Sam at the Rainbow Bridge.

All of us will miss you Muffin, especially your sister Blue.

LET THE SUN SHINE

It is day two of the current snow event.  PA is home again, no classes.  The driveway has12 inches of new snow.  The yards have already been packed down from all the corginess going on here (see Sammy's blog).

Myself, I am more of a lie in front of the fireplace or on a cushy couch type guy--let the youngsters play in the snow.

This is what we did yesterday after coming in all wet and covered in snow.

SPRING IS MISSING--FILE A MISSING SPRING REPORT

If you have stopped by Sammy's blog, you probably already know that it is snowing again, and my PA's university has called off classes for the sixth time this semester.  Will spring ever get here?

Sammy reported on the results of the dog show, but he didn't add the pictures from the ring.  I guess he was leaving something for me to report.  So here are some pictures of Sandie and Bailey in the ring.

Look Ma, no feet on the floor!

Bailey on the down and back.

And around the ring we go!
As it is only 7:00 a.m., I suppose we will have to stay in the kennel for a while so my PA can get some work done.  But I bet she let's us come in the house soon so she won't have to tromp out to the kennel in the snow to let us out for potty breaks.  It is easier to open the back door and let us out in the yard :-).

A REPEAT OF THE DAY BEFORE

Well my PA has another snow day.  She is not sure why, but leaves these major decisions up to the powers that be at the university.   It is really cold, and I guess there is some ice on the roads.  We didn't get it as bad as Missouri.  It is still up in the air as to the dog show this weekend, since they keep changing the forecast every hour on the hour.

Maybe my PA can catch up on her grading for all her classes--if the power doesn't go out.

Since my post looks pretty boring, here is a glamour shot of Sandie (Coedwig's A Walk on the Beach).  She is my cousin Susie Q's daughter.   Pretty, isn't she?

Hope it is warm wherever you are.

SO MUCH FOR SPRING

We had a couple of really nice days, sunny and warm.  But once again we are under a winter storm warning, with ice and snow expected.  The temperatures are going to drop to almost 2 degrees at night.   I am confused, I thought I lived in the South!

Today was another snow day at the university, that's five in the last four weeks.  It makes it hard for my PA to keep her classes going (and it is difficult for the student's too--though most like having snow days).

All of us are back in the house tonight, and probably tomorrow night too.  I hope it clears up soon, as Bailey, Sandie, and Zoe are supposed to go to a dog show this weekend.
